How Are Inbound links Really important for Your Web-site?
There is no doubt in my mind that those amoungst you who are aware of how Google works and reaching page 1 will agree with me when I say that backlinks are a vital factor in achieving high search engine placement. Plus it’s even better if you can get them for free.
For those of you new to websites and SEO then a backlink is when all’s said and done another link from a different website that is directed at your website, sometimes they are called inbound links. In a nutshell if you write an article and it has a text link in it pointing to your website, that is a backlink! Or if another website owner puts a link on there website to you then that’s a backlink.
So getting these incoming links isn’t that difficult but you would be wise to note that you should get links from other relevant content. An example would be if you site is about making dolls, get links from other making dolls sites, the reason for this is that the search engines love relevancy. So every incoming link that comes from a similar site is worth more than one that comes from just any old website. Relevant backlinks do a lot more to boost up your search engine rankings.
If you are willing to work at it you can make good position for most key words, evidently there are some keywords with extremely high competition already but there are plenty that you can rank well for. Often it boils down to who can build the most links, so if you want to beat the competition, develop more incoming links then they have and given that your content is relevant to your chosen keyword, the chances are your site will place higher in the search engine rankings.
Pretty simple really. It’s most important to be consistent, Google especially jumps for joy when they see lots of links appearing like clockwork, Google will take a high interest in you and so will give you better exposure. If you just build a few links and then discontinue Google looses interest and that must not happen!
A labourious process it is to get links from other sites and it can also be a long and arduous process to get your content into the relevant places, Hours I have spent doing this before, it’s not pleasant! What would be really good is if we had a tool that would cut down the work for us and allow us to spend more time on our business whilst our links were being built for us.. Even better if the work can be done for us and we don’t have to lift a finger!
